On May 13, 1993, defendant, Sandra Harris, was charged by bill of information with one count of possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, a violation of La.R.S. 40:967(A)(1). On May 14, 1993, defendant waived formal arraignment and entered a plea of not guilty to the charge. After a trial by jury on May 10, 1995, defendant was found guilty as charged.
