Herbert Cords brought this action against the City of Lincoln (City) seeking workers' compensation benefits for an injury sustained to his lower back as a result of an accident which occurred on July 8, 1992. At trial, a single judge of the Nebraska Workers' Compensation Court held that Cords' claimed accident "[arose] out of and in the course of his employment" with the City, and that Cords experienced a 10-percent loss of earning power as a result...
