CALLAHAN, J.

The plaintiff, Shirley Boyce,1 brought suit against the defendant, the Allstate Insurance Company, to recover the proceeds of a fire insurance policy issued by the defendant. A jury found for the plaintiff on his complaint and on the defendant's counterclaim, and the trial court rendered judgment in accordance with the jury's verdicts.2 The defendant subsequently moved to set aside the verdicts...
