Rick Stubbs was convicted of knowing and intentional abuse of a vulnerable adult through exploitation pursuant to Neb.Rev. Stat. § 28-386 (Reissue 1995). He appeals from his conviction, arguing that the evidence was insufficient as a matter of law to sustain the jury's verdict and that he was not brought to trial within the time allowed by the speedy trial statute Neb.Rev.Stat. § 29-1207 (Reissue 1995).
