On October 27, 1995, the Western and Southern Life Insurance Company ("Western and Southern") filed a complaint for interpleader, pursuant to Civ.R. 22, in the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas, naming Mary Jean Braun and Kathleen A. Perry as defendants. In the interpleader complaint, Western and Southern stated it was liable on a $50,000 universal life policy; however, there were conflicting claims of Braun and Perry as to who was the beneficiary...
