The defendant, Richard Rodriguez, was charged in a ten count information with crimes committed during the December 2, 1991 robbery of an elderly couple in their Hamden home. The defendant was convicted of all ten counts and sentenced to a total effective sentence of forty years.1 He subsequently appealed from the judgment of conviction to this court, and we transferred the case...
