Plaintiff-Appellant Julian Toney ("Toney") brought this action against Defendant-Appellee WCCO Television, Midwest Cable and Satellite, Inc., a/k/a WCCO TV, Channel 4 ("WCCO"), alleging that a report on the sale of dogs to research institutions defamed him and defamed him by implication.
