This is an appeal by defendant, Thomas E. Baker, from a judgment of the Franklin County Court of Common Pleas following a jury verdict in which defendant was found guilty of felonious assault.

On January 18, 1989, defendant was indicted on one count of felonious assault, in violation of R.C. 2903.11. The indictment also included a firearm specification. The matter was tried before a jury beginning on August 21, 1990. The case is before us after...
