The district judge dismissed this suit for failure to state a claim. Fed.R.Civ.P. 12(b)(6). The only colorable issue presented by the appeal is whether the judge erred in dismissing the plaintiff's defamation claim, which is governed, the parties agree, by the common law of Wisconsin.
