The court properly denied suppression of defendant's statements made to the police during a traffic stop regarding the ownership of a vehicle later determined to have been stolen (see, People v Bennett, 70 N.Y.2d 891, 893-894). Miranda warnings were not required, because defendant was not in custody at the time he made the statements (see, People v Yukl, 25 N.Y.2d 585
