Defendant-Appellant Ansley S. Pettiway, Jr. ("Pettiway") was tried and convicted of one count of first degree child molestation sexual assault, R.I. Gen. Laws § 11-37-8.1, and one count of second degree child molestation sexual assault, R.I. Gen. Laws § 11-37-8.3.
