On December 12, 1978 at approximately 11:50 A.M., someone attempted to rob a branch of the Home Savings Bank in the City of Albany. Claimant, a student at the State University of New York at Albany (hereinafter SUNY Albany), was charged with the crime. Following a jury trial in County Court, defendant was convicted of attempted robbery in the third degree and sentenced as a persistent felony offender...
