Oscar Orlando Rivas appeals his conviction after a plea of guilty for using or carrying a firearm during a drug trafficking offense and his sentence for conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute cocaine. In our view, the principal issue presented on this appeal is Rivas's attack on the sufficiency of the factual basis for his guilty plea.
