This matter is before the court on the parties' motions for summary judgment. The plaintiffs have moved for partial summary judgment against defendants Bendix Safety Restraints, Inc., and AlliedSignal, Inc., on the ground that defendants Bendix and AlliedSignal are collaterally estopped from disputing the issue of defective design. Bendix and AlliedSignal (collectively "AlliedSignal")
