Lance Hathaway was convicted, following a jury trial, of nine counts of arson in the first degree, a class A felony, and eight counts of assault in the third degree, a class C felony. AS 11.46.400(a); AS 11.41.220(a).1 Superior Court Judge Richard D. Savell sentenced Hathaway to a composite sentence of twenty-five years of imprisonment with eight years suspended.
