Sonia Madrid sued the Lincoln County Medical Center for negligent infliction of emotional distress arising from her fear that she might have contracted acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS) when exposed to bloody fluids while transporting medical samples from the Medical Center to laboratories in Albuquerque.
