In this appeal before the Supreme Court, the defendant, David Morel, argued that the trial justice erred by admitting into evidence certain testimony on the analysis of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and also abused his discretion by allowing the state to impeach the defendant with evidence of a prior criminal conviction.
