Ronald L. Plate was convicted of several counts of first- and second-degree sexual abuse of a minor (AS 11.41.434; AS 11.41.436) in case number 3KN-93-289 Cr. After he was convicted, Plate filed a petition for post-conviction relief (case number 3KN-94-881 Civ). The superior court granted Plate's petition and set aside his convictions.
