The defendant, Morris V. Rankins, was convicted of two counts of unlawful delivery of a controlled substance. (720 ILCS 570/401(c)(2) (West 1992).) He was sentenced to two concurrent terms of 10 years' imprisonment. He later filed a pro se post-conviction petition that was denied.
