The only issue presented on certiorari is whether the trial court erred when it granted summary judgment. It held that a career or tenured teacher1 may be released pursuant to a reduction-in-force plan (RIF plan) even if the career teacher is qualified to fill positions held by nontenured employees. We find that if a teaching position which is occupied by a career teacher is eliminated...
