Anthony Armstrong was charged by a bill of information with armed robbery. He and a co-defendant, Cedric Johnson, entered pleas of not guilty. Before trial, Johnson changed his plea to guilty. He was sentenced to serve five (5) years of imprisonment. At a preliminary examination requested by the present defendant, Johnson stated Armstrong was not the co-perpetrator. Johnson was subsequently charged with perjury; he entered a plea of not guilty prior...
