The appellant, Valentino Martin, pleaded guilty to third degree burglary and was sentenced to 18 years in prison on July 1, 1987. He did not appeal from his conviction, and filed a Rule 32, Ala.R.Crim.P., petition challenging the conviction on February 9, 1996. The trial court summarily denied the appellant's Rule 32 petition.
