WEISMAN v. STATE

No. 95-01753.

681 So.2d 1189 (1996)

Brenda WEISMAN, Appellant, v. STATE of Florida, Appellee.

District Court of Appeal of Florida, Second District.

October 18, 1996.

Attorney(s) appearing for the Case

James Marion Moorman, Public Defender, Bartow, and Allyn Giambalvo, Assistant Public Defender, Clearwater, for Appellant.

Robert A. Butterworth, Attorney General, Tallahassee, and Joseph Hwan-Yul Lee, Assistant Attorney General, Tampa, for Appellee.

RYDER, Acting Chief Judge.

Brenda Weisman pleaded guilty to grand theft of money from her employer, Landmark Research Corporation, and was placed on five years' probation. As a special condition of probation, she was ordered to pay restitution to Landmark in the amount of $6,876.00. She challenges this condition on appeal. We reverse because part of the loss for which restitution was imposed was not caused directly or indirectly by Ms. Weisman's offense.
