Frodert was convicted of leading organized crime and other related drug charges. Then the State obtained a $250,000 civil judgment against Frodert based on his violation of the Criminal Profiteering Act. Frodert appeals the civil judgment, arguing that it violates the double jeopardy clause and the excessive fines clause of the Eighth Amendment. He also contends that the Criminal Profiteering Act is unconstitutional...
