Defendant Andre Quarterman was charged by the State with burglary in violation of section 810.02(3), Florida Statutes (1993). Pursuant to section 775.084(3)(b), Florida Statutes (1993), the State filed notice of its intent to seek enhanced penalty sentencing under the habitual felony offender statute. § 775.084(1)(a), Fla.Stat.
