This is an action for damages arising out of an automobile accident that left plaintiff, Deann Holt, with severe and permanent injuries. The trial court assessed 50% of the liability to defendant, State of Louisiana, Department of Transportation and Development ("DOTD"), and 50% to plaintiff, Deann Holt.
