In this suit to establish paternity and obtain child support, the State of Louisiana appeals the judgment of the trial court in favor of the defendant, Gregory Simien. After prohibiting the introduction of blood tests and certain proffered testimony, the trial court concluded that the State failed to carry its burden of proof and dismissed the State's suit with prejudice.
