On March 10, 1992, Huey Esteen was arrested for possession with intent to distribute marijuana and for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. Based on these offenses, he was charged by bill of information with violations of La.Rev.Stat.Ann. 40:966(A)(2) and La.Rev.Stat.Ann. 14:95.1.
