Gregory Steward was charged by bill of information in count one with attempted forcible rape, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:27 and 14:42.1, and in count two with second degree kidnapping, a violation of LSA-R.S. 14:44.1. Defendant pled not guilty and, after trial by jury, was convicted as charged on both counts.
