Justin Wade Green turned 14 on August 4, 1994. On September 15, 1994, he telephoned the Monticello Police Department from his home. He was crying and pleading for help for his close friend, 13-year-old Jacob Stanley, who had been shot, as it turned out, fatally. Justin was charged with manslaughter in Drew Circuit Court.
