DUDLEY, Justice.

Thomas Story was arrested for aggravated assault and, after arraignment, was freed on $5,000 cash bail. A jury found him guilty, and the trial court sentenced him to one year of imprisonment and amerced a fine of $5,000. After his conviction, and while his case was on appeal, he was allowed to remain free on the same cash bond. The court of appeals affirmed the judgment of conviction in a nonpublished opinion.
