This case was filed in the District Court of Maryland as an action of replevin. The plaintiff, with lease financing, purchased a Mercedes automobile from a consignee who did not pay the consignor. The consignor, without lien or legal process, seized the vehicle from the possession of the plaintiff. The writ of replevin was never issued or denied, and, at trial, the requested relief was limited to damages. At issue here is the measure of damages, but...
