OPINION

HARDBERGER, Justice.

Appellee was charged with the misdemeanor offense of unlawfully carrying a weapon. The trial court granted his motion to suppress and the State appealed. We reverse and remand.

The only testimony presented at the suppression hearing was given by Emmanuel Fultz, a deputy sheriff. Fultz testified that he was a member of a gang task force and, on the day in question, had been assigned to try to prevent a possible retaliation...
