This appeal arises from the trial court's order of July 11, 1996 denying Appellant, Andrew Lee Mitchell, the relief sought in his pretrial petition for writ of habeas corpus ("Petition"). In that Petition, Appellant asserted six different grounds that he believed barred his retrial. After a three-day pretrial hearing on Appellant's Petition and other pending motions, the trial court granted the writ but denied the Petition. The trial judge made no findings...
