After finding a drug laboratory in the home of Dale T. DeWitt, a graduate student in chemistry, the Government brought two indictments against him. One indictment charged DeWitt with several crimes involving the manufacture of the psychedelic drugs methylenedioxyamphetamine (MDA) and methylenedioxymethamphetamine (MDMA).
