Defendant was convicted by a jury of assault with intent to murder, M.C.L. § 750.83; M.S.A. § 28.278, and possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, M.C.L. § 750.22b; M.S.A. § 28.424(2). Defendant received a twenty- to thirty-year prison sentence for the assault conviction and a consecutive two-year term for the felony-firearm conviction.
