James Jones was indicted with two counts aggravated rape, violations of La.R.S. 14:42(A)(4). He filed a motion to suppress confession, which was denied. He pled not guilty and, after trial by jury, was found guilty of attempted aggravated rape on count one and guilty as charged on count two. The court sentenced him on count one to serve a term of fifty years imprisonment at hard labor and on count two to serve a term of life imprisonment at hard labor...
