On April 26, 1994, judgment was entered in the Circuit Court of Garland County reflecting that L.T. Tapp had been convicted by a jury of rape and sentenced to twenty-eight years imprisonment. Mr. Tapp's attorney filed a timely notice of appeal of the judgment on April 28, 1994.
