Appellant Jimmy Don Wooten was convicted of capital murder, criminal attempt to commit capital murder, and aggravated assault. Wooten was sentenced to death by lethal injection on the capital murder charge, thirty years' imprisonment on the attempt to commit capital murder charge, and six years' imprisonment on the aggravated assault charge.
