OPINION

GREEN, Justice.

The State indicted Dorsey Ventroy for the offense of attempted murder, enhanced as a repeat offender. Pursuant to a not guilty plea, a jury found Ventroy guilty and also found that he had used a deadly weapon in the commission of the offense. The trial court, based on the jury verdict, found the enhancement allegation "true," and sentenced Ventroy to life in prison. Ventroy's seven points of error fall into three general categories...
