Weldon Leagea was charged by bill of information with two counts of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, violations of La.R.S. 14:95.1. He pled not guilty and, after trial by jury, was convicted on both counts. The trial court sentenced him to serve a term of ten years imprisonment at hard labor with credit for time served on count one and a term of six years imprisonment at hard labor with credit for time served on count two, to be served...
