When someone—apparently his wife— burned down his house, Anthony J. DePalma asked the house's insurer, Bates County Mutual Insurance Company, to reimburse him for the loss. When Bates County Mutual refused, DePalma sued the insurance company. The circuit court granted summary judgment for Bates County Mutual finding that no genuine issues existed...
