Following a bench trial on September 13, 1994, the appellant, Darrell Dewon Jones was convicted of first degree murder and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony. On December 13, 1994, the trial court sentenced Jones to life imprisonment for the murder and two years for use of a firearm.
