McDONALD, Judge.

Following a jury trial, defendant was convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm, M.C.L. § 750.224f; M.S.A. § 28.421(6). Thereafter, defendant pleaded guilty of being an habitual offender, third offense, M.C.L. § 769.11(1)(b); M.S.A. § 28.1083(1)(b), and was sentenced to 5½ to 10 years' imprisonment.
