HEARN, Judge:

This is an appeal from an order granting summary judgment to the South Carolina Department of Mental Health in a negligence case. We affirm.

The complaint alleges Tammie Lee Hatley was referred for emergency admission to the department on March 1, 1990, after making threats against her minor child, Bobbi Hatley Robertson, and her own mother, Brenda D.
