Following a trial conducted by way of a not guilty plea and an agreed statement of facts in the Circuit Court for Anne Arundel County, Francis B. Gantt, Jr., appellant, was convicted of child abuse. Immediately prior to appellant's trial, Judge Lerner heard and denied appellant's motion to suppress an oral statement he had made before he received warnings required by Miranda v. Arizona, 384 U.S. 436, 86 S.Ct. 1602...
