YAÑEZ, Justice.

Appellant, Rene Palomo, appeals his convictions for murder and attempted murder. After finding appellant guilty of both counts, a jury assessed punishment at twenty-five years confinement and a $5,000.00 fine for the murder conviction and fifteen years confinement for the attempted murder conviction.
