This appeal concerns the refusal of a bank which issued a letter of credit to honor a demand for payment by the beneficiary because a principal document accompanying the demand was not in compliance with the terms of the letter of credit. We join the broad majority of courts in concluding that strict compliance is necessary in this unique setting.
