Appellant Raymond Edward Boatwright was convicted of intentionally and knowingly carrying a handgun and an illegal knife. On appeal, he argues two points of error. First, he contends that the trial court failed to comply with the requirements of articles 36.27 and 36.28 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure when the trial judge permitted testimony to be read back to the jury.
