1. Ernesto M. (Child) appeals the adult sentence invoked by the children's court after he admitted to committing four crimes out of an eight-count indictment and thereby established that he was a "youthful offender." See NMSA 1978, § 32A-2-3(I) (Repl. Pamp.1993).
